Alma “Diana” Mote, (nee Beck), aged 79, of Alexandria, KY, passed away at home on March 25. She was born on April 29, 1945, in Alexandria, KY.
Diana graduated from Campbell County High School, class of 1963 and attended college at the University of Cincinnati. She had a successful career at the IRS, starting as a computer programmer in 1971, one of the only women in her field at the time, advancing to the position of Regional Computer Branch Chief. She retired in 1997 to take care of her parents, preceding her in death, Carrie and Arnold H. Beck of Alexandria.
Diana loved horses; volunteering for the Northern Kentucky Horse Network, dancing with her friends, and was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Alexandria.
She is survived by a daughter: Heather Mote of Alexandria; grandchildren: Bjoern Petersen, and Lili Petersen; a sister: Margaret (Delbert) Perry (nee Beck) of Alexandria, 2 nephews,, a great niece, her cat Blacky and many cousins.”
