Alpha June Steele

Alpha June Steele was called home on September 9th, 2026 at the age of 86. She was born on August 11, 1940 in Boonville KY. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

She was a faithful servant of God and completed her race after a wonderful life surrounded by her loved ones. To be loved by Alpha was to know the Lord, laughter, hugs, Dominos, and a good meal. She spent her working years as everyone’s favorite lunch lady. She poured into the children at Camp Ernst middle school for 28 years. She will be remembered by her warmth, devotion to her family, and her faithfulness to God. 

She was preceded in death by her dear first granddaughter, Kristy Johnson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Jack Steele; her children and wonderful daughter in laws; Joe (Mary), Alan (Lynn), and Jack (Ellen); her treasured grandchildren Scott Johnson (husband of Kristy), Kim (Keith) Smith, Jacoby (Salena) Steele, Bowen (Erin) Steele, Kaily (David) Jones, and Brandi (Ben) Berry; her precious great grandchildren, Harper, Silas, Wendy, Emmett, Abby, Eli, Amelia, Jeriah, Bane, Bear, Allison, Liam, Evelyn, Abigail, and Brom. 

Her family was so dear to her heart and she will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 14th, 2026 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with the funeral at 12:00 PM at Covington Church of Christ, 2630 James Avenue, Covington, KY, 41014. Robbie Rogers will be officiating. Burial will be private at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Her family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
