Barbara L. McGaha, 84, of Taylor Mill, cherished wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother, and faithful Christian, passed away on January 24, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family.

Barbara was born on June 27, 1940, to Laura and Zea Martin in Newport, Kentucky. She is survived by her half-sister Marlene Bendel, half-brother Bob Rardin, and sister Lora Purdy. 

On July 21, 1956, Barbara married the love of her life, James H. McGaha, who passed away on July 29, 2011. Together, they shared 56 years of marriage built on love and faith. In Bellevue, Kentucky, they raised four sons: James (Michael), Gary, Doug, and Brad.

Barbara's life legacy includes a deep faith and unwavering devotion to her family. As a mother, she was loving and dedicated, always putting her family first. Her faith guided her through life’s joys and challenges, and she instilled those values in her children and grandchildren.

She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her warmth, wisdom, and the love she generously shared.

Barbara’s life will be celebrated at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Friday, January 31, 2025, with visitation from 6-8 PM. A private funeral service and burial will occur on Saturday, February 1, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Northern Kentucky Women’s Jail Ministry in Barbara’s memory.
