Bobby Joe Davidson, 69, of Cincinnati, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026. Bobby was born February 25, 1957, to Woodrow and Mary Davidson, and was preceded in passing by his loving parents. Bobby was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melanie Davidson and his sisters, Helen Simpson (Tony) and Cassie Thorton (George). Pat Gilpin, his mother-in-law, who knew Bobby for most of his life and played an important role in the man he became, survives him.
Bobby's memory also lives on with his children, Heather Davidson (Andrew), Joseph Davidson (Jessica), and Jonathan Davidson (Debbie); those who were like children to him, Amy Chaney and Robert Casey; his sisters, Linda Gorman (Jeff) and Darlene Carr (Sam); grandchildren, Josh and Jessa Plessinger, and Jayden and Carmen Davidson; nieces, Sarah Wolking, Melissa Simpson, and Nicole Kelly.
Bobby Davidson lived a full life, spending his time enjoying the great outdoors. Whether he be found fishing or taking a leisurely country drive, you could bet he was listening to his favorite music all the while. When a rainy day kept him from spending the day outside, Bobby could be found enjoying the casino or learning to play the guitar. His grandchildren will miss those special moments when they'd listen to music together and he'd make them pause and listen to the song, saying "Hear that? Hear the [insert instrument here]?" He had an appreciation for the simple joys in life and shared that joy with those he loved.
Bobby was a man of integrity, and though he will be dearly missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he has been reunited with "his girl."
Visitation will take place at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, Monday, June 8th from 1:00 PM - 2:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Floral Hills is honored to serve the Davidson family.
