Charles Daniel Terlau

Charles Daniel Terlau, 77, of Union, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 28, 2025, with his family by his bedside. He was born June 2, 1948, in Covington, the son of the late John William Terlau and Virginia Toerner Terlau. He was a retired General Contractor and retired a second time from the maintenance department of Boone County Schools. Dan was a member of Every Tribe Church in Covington. He is survived by his wife, Caren Jane Collins Terlau, whom he married May 9, 1970. Also surviving are his children, Daniele Axtell (Steve); Travis Terlau (Kelly); four grandchildren Taylor Axtell, Madison Axtell-Stegman (Adam), Will Terlau, and Lainey Terlau; brothers and sisters Jacque Kopser (Ray), John Terlau (Judy), Tony Terlau (Sherry), and Mary Maley (Tom), and was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Wilson and brother-in-law Bill Wilson. Dan enjoyed spending his free time gardening, golfing, and fishing. Funeral services will be held 6 PM Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Christ's Chapel Assembly of God, with Terry Crigger and Steve Axtell officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 4-6 PM. Burial is private and will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
