Danny Wayne Taylor

Danny Wayne Taylor, 56, of Covington, KY, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Danny dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his community.

Danny was born in Covington, Ky in 1968. He attended Holmes Highschool where he played football for The Bulldogs. Danny graduated in 1986 before joining the United States Airforce in 1987.

Danny proudly served in the United States Airforce as a Fire Protection Specialist from 1987 to 1993, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. His military career took him to various parts of the world, including Saudi Arabia and also serving in Desert Storm. He earned numerous commendations for his bravery and leadership. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.

Following his distinguished military service, Danny continued to serve his community as a Firefighter Paramedic for over 30 years, finishing his career at the WIPP nuclear disposal facility in, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Known for his leadership, determination, and commitment, he left a lasting impact on those he served and worked alongside.

Danny is survived by his beloved daughter, Brittany Coomer (Robert), his grandchildren, Damien, Dante, Cameron and Izabelle. Other family members; Scott Taylor, Christina Taylor Babb and Lawrence Taylor. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

Danny is proceeded in death by Darlene Cordell and Harold Wilson Jr. "Smokey"

A small gathering to honor Danny’s life and service will be held privately with family.
