David Alan Earl, 75, of Verona, KY born on January 11, 1950, in Pineville, KY passed away on March 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. David’s life was a testament to the values of family, friendship, and community. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. David was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran serving from 1969-1971 at the rank of Sergeant. Military service runs deep in his family ranging from his father, brother, son, daughter, granddaughter, son in law and daughter in law. David was an avid golfer, and he loved being outdoors. David worked for the Kroger Company as a produce manager for 38 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Anne Joecken Earl, who was by his side through 40 years of marriage. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and countless blessings. David was a devoted father to his children: Sean Earl (Jennifer), Kristen Ivanov (Daniel), Stacie Earl, Erin Robertson (Christopher), and Alayna Wickersham (Derek). His children were his pride and joy, and he took immense pleasure in watching them grow into remarkable individuals. Additionally, he was blessed with eight grandchildren, Griffin Earl, Olyvia Rolfes, Vince Barth, Krissy Earl, Jameson Earl, Aiden Robertson, Niko Robertson, Mia Robertson, each of whom brought him happiness and honor.
David was also a loving brother, cherished by his sister Sue Meyer (Drew) and his brothers Jimmy Earl (Marylin) and Jerry Earl (Pam). The bond he shared with his siblings was one of strength and support and filled with fond memories.
David was preceded in death by his parents, James J. Earl and Mary Saylor Earl, brother Jack Earl, and sisters Laura Utsler and Patty Earl.
The celebration of David’s life will include a visitation on March 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A in Taylor Mill, Kentucky. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at the same location beginning at 12:00 PM. David will be laid to rest during a private burial service on March 14, 2025, at Floral Hills Cemetery in Covington, Kentucky.
David Alan Earl will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered for his generous spirit, unwavering support, and the profound impact he made on all those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
