Donna Jean Imhoff

July 24, 1932 — January 13, 2025

Independence

Donna Jean Imhoff, age 92, of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born on July 24th, 1932. Donna’s most important title was ‘loving mother.’ She was a devoted protector of her children and grandchildren. Donna was the best mother a child could ever have. Donna was one of the strongest women you will ever meet. She had the best work ethic. If you knew her, you know how hard she worked to provide for her children, with her last retirement occurring in 2020 from Wal-Mart where she worked in the produce department. Donna knew how to have fun too. She loved to listen and dance to country music, cut up and laugh, visit the casino slots, and pull pranks. Donna knew how to make you smile.

Donna is preceded in death by her grandfather, George “Pappy” Hampton, who she said was the best man to ever walk this earth, her mother, Opal (Roscoe) Barnhill, and her dearest grandson, Nick Imhoff (11/28/1979-12/14/2024).

Donna is survived by 11 adoring children – Mike (Emily) Keyes, Linda (Rick) Hillebrand, Diane Imhoff, Robbie Imhoff, Ralph (Cathy) Imhoff, Arlene Sydnor, David (Patty) Imhoff, Raymond Imhoff (Cindy Baker), Debbie (Ty) Young, Karen Tomlin (Wendell Osborne), and Doug (Tina) Imhoff.

Donna, affectionately called “Ninnie,” is also survived by 31 loving grandchildren, 46 beautiful great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, all of which will be displayed during the Celebration of Donna’s Life.

Floral Hills Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 26th, 2025, 5:00-9:00 pm, at Independence Senior Center, 2001 Jackwoods Parkway, Independence, KY 41051. In lieu of flowers, Donna would have loved for donations to be sent in her memory to DCCH Center, 75 Orphanage Road, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017 (Ph: 859-331-2040), which provides a safe place for abused and neglected children to live and heal. Every child deserves love and protection.
