COVINGTON - Dorothy A. Akers, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 18 at a family member's home.
She was a clerk with the IRS and a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. Her husband, Douglas M. Akers, died previously.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Akers of Columbus, Tim Akers of Covington and Brian Akers of Independence; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 with service following at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials: American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pike, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017; or St. Elizabeth Hospice Program, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
