Dorothy Pendergrass, 88, of Latonia, passed away April 26, 2026. Born in 1937 to Clara Gibson and Bethel Berry, Dorothy was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, and she will be dearly missed.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence 'Buddy' Pendergrass; and her siblings, June Perry, Loretta Woods, Bethel Berry Jr (Lurley), David Berry, Ersel Berry, Izetta Lay (Vernon), Bobbie Jean Berry, Danny Bill Berry, and Mary Jane Berry.
Dorothy's memory lives on in the hearts of her children, Janet Payne (Oliver) and Richard Miller (Kelly); her siblings, Pat Klug (Jerry) and Janice Morrow (Homer); her grandchildren, Veronica, Rachel (Robby), Steve, Melanie (Damien) and Erik; her great-grandchildren, Rowan, Kandace, Tara, Carter, Hannah, Andrew, Natalee, Evan, and Lauren; and her first great-great-grandchild, JJ.
Dorothy Pendergrass was a devoted member of Latonia Baptist Church. She was a servant of her community and could always be found sharing the guidance and grace of her savior, Jesus Christ. Her open heart and willing hands will be dearly missed at Action Ministries Food Bank, where she served with her sister, Pat, to feed those who were hungry in her community. She was an avid gardener, a child of the Great Depression and World War II era, she was known to have cultivated her victory garden well, growing flowers and vegetables with pride.
Dorothy was a 'good egg' and a sweet soul, who will be so sincerely missed.
Visitation will take place at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, Monday, May 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM followed by interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Pendergrass family.
