Elvira Deaton Nixon

Elvira Deaton Nixon, 88, of Independence, died Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Mimi's House in Maineville, Ohio.  She was born March 2, 1937, in Houston, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Clay Gabbard and Fannie Short Gabbard.  She is survived by her daughter, Donna Deaton Villari, of Independence; her grandchildren, Angel Powell and James Powell; and great-grandchildren, Blake Powell and Madison Powell.  She was also preceded in death by a daugher, Vicki Works.  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 11-1 PM.  Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
