Emily Darlene Gross, 82, peacefully passed away on September 29, 2026 surrounded by love and family.

Darlene was born on January 14, 1944, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Bernard Grabow and Letha Grabow . She spent many years working as an office admin assistant before retiring.

Darlene enjoyed the simple things in life and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, playing euchre at the senior center, and spending time with her beloved cat, Little Bit. She also looked forward to going out to lunch, including her regular Saturday lunches at Applebee’s with her grandson, Daniel, and dinner four days a week with her sister, Judy.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Judy Jones (Ron); her sister, Judy Lang (George); her brothers, Bernie Grabow (Maryann), Kenny Grabow (Susan), and Frankie Grabow; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 18 years, Robert Gross; and her son, Darron Grout.

Darlene will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the friendships she treasured, and the many simple moments that brought her happiness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
