Eugene Conrad Long, 82, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, formerly of Dayton and Florence, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at home. He was born September 20, 1943, in Cincinnati, the son of the late Lawrence Long and Alice Robbins Long.
He was retired from General Motors and was a proud Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam conflict aboard the USS Lexington. He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of the VFW, an avid UK fan; member of the Shriners and was a Mason; and loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wives Bonnie Long; Sandra Long; Carolyn Risner Long; and Regina Susman.
He is survived by his children, Sherron Nickel (Matt, SR.); Laura Luster (Ken); and Rachel Long; his grandchildren, Jennifer Carbone (Tom); Alexis Luster; Emily Zuggi (Matt Sr.); Anthony Luster (Madison); Matty Nickel; Piper Long; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Long and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Mueller and brothers Donald, Raymond and Paul Long.
Funeral services will be held 12PM Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where visitation will be held from 10-12PM. Burial will follow with military graveside rites at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Long family.
