Eva Beatrice Beck

Eva Beatrice Beck, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on April 12, 1943, Eva dedicated her life to a remarkable 55-year nursing career, during which she touched countless lives with her compassion and expertise. She was known for her humor, elegance, and class, traits that endeared her to family, friends, and colleagues.

Eva enjoyed cooking for her family and she was known for her pineapple upside down cake. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them and making memories that will last a lifetime. Eva Beatrice Beck was a vibrant firecracker, whose legacy will be one of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Throughout her life, Eva was an active member of the community, attending multiple churches, including the New Hope Tabernacle Church of God and Community Family Church. Her faith played a significant role in her life, offering her solace and support throughout her journey.

She leaves behind her cherished children: Bruce Osborne Jr. (Deborah), Myra Osborne (Don Steedman), and Karen Osborne. In addition to her children, Eva was a proud grandmother to Laura (Bryon), Scott (Angela), Sandra, Mallory (Dan), Tonya (Tyson), April (Phillip), Jason (Ashlee), Angela (Jeffrey), Jeffrey (Tara), Daniel, and Brian, brother Jimmy Bays (Meredith Butler). Eva also took great joy in her role as a great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren.

 Eva had cousins Nancy "Kibby" and Marty Wirth who took special care of her towards the end of her life and made sure that she passed with grace and love. There are many family members and friends who will miss her dearly and who will always carry her memory with them.

Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence D. Beck, her parents, James and Alice Bays, and her grandson, David Steedman.

The family invites all who knew Eva to join them in celebrating her life. A visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY. Eva will be laid to rest during a burial service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens following the funeral.
