Franklin Dillard Sturgill

Franklin Dillard Sturgill, 78, of Loveland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, with his family by his side, at the VA Medical Center, Cincinnati.  He was born November 9, 1947, in Fletcher County, Kentucky, the son of the late James F. and Alfa Moore Sturgill.  He was a retired Chemical Operator with Michelman Inc. and was a Baptist Preacher for many years.  He was an Army Veteran and was a member of the Bethlehem United Baptist Church in Blue Ash.  He is survived by his wife, Wanda Louise Hicks Sturgill, whom he married April 30, 1977.  Also surviving are his son, James F. Sturgill (Bess); daughter Deena Downey (Tom); two sisters, Georgia Manning and Danella Schnetzer; and five grandchildren, Katie, Bea and Lucy Sturgill, and Graham and Grayson Downey. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, with Pastor Chester Collins officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 AM.  Burial to follow with military graveside rites at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
