Frederick Charles Penick

Frederick Charles Penick, 76, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026.

Frederick was born on June 6, 1950, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Langley Dwight Penick and Violet Rose Fightmaster. He worked for many years in custodial and maintenance work for schools before retiring.

Frederick enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family. Above all, he loved being with his grandchildren. He was also a longtime member of the Linden Social Club for 10 years.

Frederick is survived by his loving wife of 36 and a half years, Barbara Penick; his children, Violet Finnell (Duane), Mary Penick, and Beth VanLoveren; his siblings, Dwight Penick (Brenda), Thomas Penick (Kathy), and Judy Cole; and his seven grandchildren, Sierra, Lawrence, Rudy, Frederick, Damondre, Zaire, and Alexis; and 7 great grandchildren whom he will miss dearly.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Penick; and his beloved uncle, Charles Franklin Penick.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
