Covington

Gary Lee Bowman, a devoted fire fighter and cherished family member, passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 13, 1946, Gary dedicated his life to serving others, first as a member of the United States Navy for four years and then as a fire fighter for the Covington Fire Department, where he served with unwavering commitment and distinction for 22 years.

Gary's legacy is deeply rooted in his selflessness and courage, qualities he exhibited both in his professional career and personal life. His years in the Navy instilled in him a sense of discipline and duty that he carried into his role as a fire fighter, where he bravely faced challenges with integrity and compassion.

Gary is survived by his brother, Robert Bowman and sister-in-law Judy, along with many nieces, nephews, and family members who will miss him dearly.

He now joins his beloved parents, Robert and Anna Bowman, his wife Vickie Lynn Bowman, and his brother, Larry Bowman, in eternal rest.

As we remember Gary, we honor his commitment to serving his community and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to inspire others, and he will be deeply missed.
