FLORENCE - Gloria K. Howard Shobe, 80, died Tuesday, May 18, at Christ Hospital, Mt. Auburn. She was a former store detective for J.L. Hudson, a homemaker, attended Florence United Methodist Church and was a matron in the Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Virgil Shobe; daughter, Marsha Lou Fields and son, Virgil W. Shobe, died previously.
Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Clendenin of Florence; sister, Iva Bratcher of Owensboro; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 21, with Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. No public service and private burial.
Memorials: Eastern Star, c/o Chambers & Grubbs, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
