Hurstle Lynn Acres

Hurstle Lynn Acres, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Born on April 26, 1948, in Oneida, Tennessee, Hurstle lived a life centered on family, simple joys, and making lasting memories with those he loved.

Hurstle spent many years working as a cook in the restaurant industry before retiring. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, watching classic western television shows, being outdoors, and taking family trips to Gatlinburg and Cumberland Falls. Above all else, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hurstle Acres and Norma Acres.

Hurstle is survived by his loving wife, Lori Acres; his children, Jeff Acres( Shanna), Tina Weitz, Matthew Acres, Anthony Acres, Norma Acres, and Pamela Acres; his sisters, Pam Buchheit (Joe) and Wanda Kemer; along with many grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Hurstle will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of the outdoors, and the special moments he shared with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, on Thursday, July 23 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
