James W. Martin, 86, of Independence, passed away Monday, April 02, 2012, at Florence Park Care Center. He was a retired truck driver for Sewell Motor Express and an Army Veteran. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Martin on July 24, 2011, he is survived by his stepson R. Neil O'Harrah of Independence and daughters Bonnie Martin and Susan Rider, both of Independence. Chapel services 11 AM Wednesday at Floral Hills Cemetery Chapel. No visitation. SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME, INDEPENDENCE (356-9565) serving the family.
