Janet Lynn Gaskins

Janet Lynn Gaskins, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on August 24, 1947, she lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and love. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janet spent much of her career at Kenners Toy Company. She provided joy not only through her work but also through her exceptional ability to make people smile. Those who heard her special laugh knew it was a sign of her loving spirit and infectious joy.

Her passions were many; she spent her time engaged in various hobbies such as doing puzzles, reading romance novels, and playing euchre. A devoted sports fan, Janet loved watching the Reds and Bengals play, often with her beloved dog Cricket by her side, sharing those precious moments filled with excitement and companionship. She was also a big fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music. 

Janet served her community proudly as a member of the Dayton Eagles F.O.E, embodying the values of love, friendship, and support that the organization represented. Her loving, caring, and kind personality touched many hearts, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by her siblings Johnny Edwards Jr. (Peggy), Robert Edwards, Carol Farrell, and Danny Edwards, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were fortunate to share in her life's journey.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Edwards and her baby brother, Richard, who welcomed her with open arms.

To honor Janet a visitation will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at Floral Hills Funeral Home Chapel B at 11:30am with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm and burial at 2:00pm. 

Janet Lynn Gaskins leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warm memories, reminding us to embrace life fully and cherish each moment spent with those we hold dear.
