Jerry Bray

Jerald Bray passed from this world on August 1, 2025, at The Barrington in West Chester Township, Ohio, at the age of 95. Jerry was born on June 16, 1930, in Alexandria, KY, to Myrta and Melvin Bray, who preceded him in death.

Jerry was married for 64 years to his beloved wife, Betty Jane Bray, who passed in July of 2018. They had a wonderful marriage and raised a daughter, Linda Schuler (Steven) and a son, Steven Bray (Mavis) who survive. Jerry and Betty had many travels and adventures together both with family members and friends.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of Northern Kentucky where he worked most of his career at Cincinnati Gas and Electric from where he retired. He was a US veteran having served as a young man as a sergeant in the US Air Force in Lubbock, TX. Jerry was a proud member of the Alexandria Masonic lodge for most of his life.

In his younger days Jerry was an avid tennis player, golfer, an accomplished leather worker, a boater, and was active in church service at the Methodist Church in Alexandria.

Jerry is survived by four grandchildren, Kurtis Schuler, Kara Schuler, Kristen Holbrook (Kenton), and Joshua Bray (Sarah), also by six great-grandchildren, Audrey, Haiden, Caleb, Cora, RaeLyn, and Greyson.

Jerry was preceded in death by his only brother, Glenn “Pete” Bray. One grandson, Daniel Bray, also preceded Jerry in death.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 12-2 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Garden, Chapel B, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd., Taylor Mill, KY 41015. There will be a Masonic Service at 1:30 PM.

A military graveside service will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
