Jerome (Jerry) Louis Maringer, 'Red', 79, of Bellevue, KY, formerly of Woodlawn, KY, peacefully passed away on November 19, 2014, at his residence. After graduating from Newport Catholic High School, Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, before beginning his career as a surveyor. He was a lifelong resident of Campbell County, who served 15 years as City Commissioner for the city of Woodlawn, was a devoted and loving family man, and an avid sports enthusiast. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Alfred Maringer and Lauretta Brokamp Maringer, brother Raymond Maringer, daughter Cynthia Lynne Johnson. He is survived by his wife Jewell (Gallagher), his children Steven (Christie) of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Jennifer (Josh) of Winchester, KY; grandchildren Brittany, Zachary, Madison, Kirt, and great-grandchild Isabelle, and numerous extended family members. A mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 25, 2014, 10:00am at Holy Spirit Church, 825 Washington Ave., Newport, KY. Burial will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Garden, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Covington, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Jerome's name to Saint Elizabeth Hospice.
