JoAnn Sexton

JoAnn Sexton, 76, of Florence, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Pavilion at Kenton. She was a beautiful soul, that touched all who knew her. She loved life, she loved to travel, to write stories, she loved music, and spending time with family and friends. She was born November 30, 1948, in Covington, Kentucky. The daughter of the late Harold Grubbs and Elizabeth Wright Grubbs. She was a member of Elsmere Baptist Church, a retired Secretary, and the President of the Ralph Fulton VFW Auxiliary 6423 in 2005-2006. She is married to Bill Sexton, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Chris Sexton and Angela Sexton; sisters Donna Dyer Smith; Gina Mintkenbaugh (Mike); brothers Sonny Grubbs (Denise); Kenny Grubbs (Gloria); Rick Grubbs; 2 grandchildren Crista; Sevana and 2 great-grandchildren Clayton and Easton. Memorial services are to be held at 1pm Tuesday September 2, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm. Burial will be followed at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Sexton family.
