FLORENCE - John Forrest "Frosty" Owens, 71, died Thursday, Sept. 4 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood.
He was a painter, truck driver for Kentucky Motors in Covington, member of Banklick Street Church of God and he enjoyed fishing and horse racing.
His daughter, Karen German, died in 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Prewitt Owens; daughter, Venita Jacobsen; son, John D. Owens; sisters, Greta Goins, Sandra Robbins and Pamela Adams; brothers, Russell, Earl Leroy and Ray Owens; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 and service will be at noon Monday, Sept. 8, at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
