John L. Schmidt, 94, passed away in Newport, KY, June 20, 2013. He was a veteran of the Navy Air Corp. Retired Supervisor from the Railway Express. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in 1981. John is survived by his three sons, Thomas Schmidt, James R (Lynn) Schmidt, and Rick P. (Carolyn) Schmidt. Six Grandchildren, David, Allison, Marc, Jennifer, Kevin and Brian Schmidt.
Visitation will be Tuesday June 25th, 2013 from 5 until 8 pm, with Prayers and Blessing by Father Leo Schmidt beginning at 8 pm at the Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, KY. Burial will be on Wednesday, June 26th at 10 am in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills Funeral Home is serving the family.
