Johnny Cecil Williams, 76, of Dayton, Kentucky, born on November 10, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran and a dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Dayton, Kentucky.Johnny enjoyed a fulfilling career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to explore the open roads he cherished. Beyond his work, he was passionate about outdoor activities, relishing the time spent hunting and fishing. He had a love for motorcycles and was an active member of the Vietnam Motorcycle Club, often taking long rides on his Harley.His enduring legacy includes a strong commitment to youth sports, as he coached football and baseball for the Dayton Kentucky Roadrunners. Johnny’s dedication to his community and the youth he coached was a testament to his character and love for mentoring.He is survived by his devoted wife, Rosella (Riley) Williams, and their 3 sons John (Lisa preceded in death) Williams, Shawn (Jennifer) Williams, and Scott Williams. Johnny also leaves behind his cherished sisters, Karen (Jerry preceded in death) Bertram and Roxann (Wendell) Howard.He was a proud grandfather to Jonathan (Emily) Williams, Jason Williams, Owen Williams, Alec Williams, Markie (Jenna) Williams, Mariah (Connor) Sparks, McKenzie (Tyler) Williams, Karly Williams, Ethan Williams and Brooke Williams.Additionally, he was a great-grandfather to Chandler, Lexington, Nolan, Holden, Ella Rose, Luna, Luca, Miles, and Maycen.Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer F and Mary Stevens Williams, along with his brothers, Bo, Allen, and Danny Williams, and his sister Sandy Terry.The visitation for Johnny will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington, Kentucky. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, with military graveside rites.Johnny Cecil Williams will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, passion for life, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His absence will be missed profoundly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
