Joseph Gilpin

Joseph W. Gilpin, 65, died Saturday, Aug. 1, at Mercy Fairfield. He had been a driver for McLean and recently for Rider. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a pilot who also enjoyed boating and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jane Gilpin.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Patricia; daughter Melanie Gilpin-Davidson; sister Negia Hampton; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, with the services following at 2 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
