Kathleen Nan Flake

Kathleen Nan Flake, born on May 30, 1953, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth. She dedicated over two decades of her life as a secretary for Boone County Schools, where she was known for her laid-back demeanor and sweet, tender-hearted nature.

Kathleen adored her grandchildren and loved to spoil them endlessly, she also loved taking vacations to the beach and spending time on the water. She enjoyed her  involvement in small group meetings at the Grace Fellowship Church, where she connected with others in her community.

Kathleen leaves behind her beloved children, Conley Flake and Stephanie (Nick) Dorsey, and her cherished grandchildren: Cole, Carter, Caroline, and Cash. She is also survived by her sister Michele (Greg) Knapp and ex-husband Jack Flake, who remember her with fondness and gratitude.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, David and Marilyn Lewis, and her sister, Christine Van Woert. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her and loved her.

A visitation will be held in her honor on April 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel B, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd, Covington, KY 41015. Immediately following, a memorial service will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

Kathleen's gentle spirit and kind heart touched many, and she will be remembered fondly by her family and community.
