Kevin James Lunn

Kevin James Lunn, 68, of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. He was born August 28, 1957, in Covington, the son of the late Walter J. and Helen E. Seiler Lunn. He was the owner/operator of Pioneer Landscape Service and had worked at the Boone County Extension Service for many years. He enjoyed family and friend get togethers at the family farm, which was his joy. His hobbies include gardening and caring for many animals over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Matracia Lunn, whom he married February 24, 1979. Also surviving are his son, David Lunn; grandchildren Addison and Devin Franz; son-in-law Eric Franz; brothers Mike Lunn (Anne); Paul Lunn (Elizabeth); Greg Lunn (Mary); Terry Lunn; Joe Lunn; Mark Lunn (Maxine) and his in-laws, Mary Ann Bromwell (Paul); Mike Matracia (Peggy); John Matracia (Lisa); Amy Matracia (Teresa); and the late Ruth Matracia and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Franz.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1 to 5 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home,-Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. There will be a prayer service at 2 PM with Father Joe Gallenstein officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial are suggested to St. Elizabeth Foundation c/o Hospice, 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
