Laura Madden

Laura Gibson Madden, born on July 20, 1963, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, in Cumming, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Smith and Lucille Gibson.

A devoted wife to Kevin Madden and a loving mother to Emily, Ethan, and Evan. Also surviving are two brothers, Bill Gibson and Larry Gibson, and a sister, Nancy Clevenger. She was also preceded in death by a sister, RuthAnn Lundburg. Laura embraced life with kindness, joy, and unwavering faith. She was also a cherished dog mom to Jack, Pheebee, and Daisy.

Laura studied English Literature at Northern Kentucky University before embarking on a career as a flight attendant with American Trans Air, where she found joy in travel and adventure. Her love for exploring new places took her to some of her favorite destinations, including New York City, Santa Barbara, California, and Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

A devout Christian and dedicated Bible study leader at Perimeter Church for many years, Laura found strength in her faith and community. She was an active member of her church group and inspired those around her with her positivity and courage.

Laura bravely fought stage four breast cancer for 13 years despite being given a two-year prognosis. She was deeply grateful for the extra time she had to spend with her family and lived each day to the fullest. Her resilience and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many. In

A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 11-1 PM. Burial will be private. A celebration of life service will take place at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Georgia, on Friday, April 4.
