Leroy Beekman

Leroy Beekman, 70, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026.

Born on December 3, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Leroy lived life on his own terms and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He found joy in playing cards like 500 Rummy, trying his luck at bingo, listening to music, dancing, and spending time out enjoying local bars with friends and family. His sense of humor and love for having a good time will be remembered by those who knew him.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Beekman and Minnie Beekman; his sisters, Judy Spencer and Rosetta Murphy; and his brothers, George Jackson, John Beekman, Robert Beekman, and Thomas Beekman.

He is lovingly survived by his sons, Michael Beekman (Sarah) and Josh Beekman (Desirae); his sisters, Nancy Powell, Clara Eilerman, and Betty Estle; his grandchildren, Chloe Beekman, Mariah Beekman, Dylan Baker, Tyler Baker, and Rebecca Sandlin; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 20, at Floral Hills Funeral Home starting at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. for immediate family.
