Lillian H Caldwell

Lillian Rose Caldwell, 82, passed away on July 20, 2026. Born on February 26, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lillian lived a life centered on faith, family, kindness, and service to others.

Lillian was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lakeside Park, Kentucky, where she remained a lifelong member. She found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her home was always open to anyone in need, and she welcomed everyone with warmth, love, and a caring heart.

She was married to the love of her life, Harry “Butch” Caldwell, for almost 65 wonderful years. Together they were the perfect match.

Lillian retired after working as a receptionist for a community action center. She had many hobbies and interests that brought her happiness throughout her life. She enjoyed cake decorating, genealogy for her church, taking walks through cemeteries, traveling to Myrtle Beach and Gatlinburg with her family, listening to Neil Diamond’s music, and cooking for those she loved. She was especially known for making amazing dressing that family and friends always looked forward to. She also had a playful side and was well known by those closest to her for her love of driving a little faster than she probably should have.

Above all else, Lillian cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Harry “Butch” Caldwell; her children, Anthony "Tony" Caldwell, Christopher "Chris" Caldwell (Lisa), Michael "Mike" Caldwell, and Greta Longwell (Bob); her brother, Buddy Lee Sweatt; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy Hardy and Alberta Webb, and her sister, Arlene Bush (Tom).

Lillian’s kindness, generous spirit, unwavering faith, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her compassion, laughter, and open heart.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a family gathering directly after. 144 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, KY 41017
