Mabel Lee Benson Piper, 81, of Independence, died Saturday at her residence.
She was a homemaker and worker as a cook for Taylor Mill Elementary School. She was also a member of Independence Christian Church.
Her husband, Palmer Piper, preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter Rebecca Piper Carder of Covington; sons Ron Piper, Tim Piper and Jeff Piper all of Independence; sister Rose Coppage of Nicholson; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens of Taylor Mill.
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice at 483 South Loop Dr in Edgewood 41017.
