Patricia (Pat) Jean Bradford (93) of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on the morning of March 6, 2025. Pat was born in Latonia, KY, on July 18, 1931 and raised by her parents Salin & Mary Perry. She graduated from Holmes High School and fell in love with Fenton (Turtle) Bradford. They were married on April 1, 1950, happily married for 53 years.
Pat was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia. Over the course of her lifetime, she served in various ministries of the church including: Beginner B director, Junior Camp director, lead cook at summer camps and teacher of the Berean class well into her late 80’s. Pat also enjoyed singing in the church choir in her early years and loved her most recent ministry with the Needle & Thread sewing circle. Pat cherished the Word of God and enjoyed teaching and sharing her faith. She was a true disciple of Christ, with a heart for service. Always serving others before herself.
Pat & Turtle opened The Turtle Shell Day Care Center in their home in 1979 and for 25 years Pat cared for over three hundred children…providing a safe place for children to experience the joy of childhood. It gave her great joy as she poured her heart in these young lives.
Pat was AKA…“Patty Planner”! Over the years she organized Kenlake summer vacations, trips to Navarre and Madeira Beaches, family reunions, Bunko game nights, birthdays, graduations, baby and wedding showers…along with coordinated attire that family members should be wearing to these events.
Pat was known by several names…but “Gigi” was her favorite! She took great delight in spending time with her grands and great grands. Which included time at the beach, county fairs, baseball and soccer games plus receiving visitors to her little house at 43 Ridgeway.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fenton “Turtle” Bradford in 2003. Pat is survived by her 3 loving children, Belinda Rouse, Perry Bradford (Sandi) and Mary Clift. Grandchildren, Jordan Bradford (Kelsey), Jameson Bradford (Bethany), Jessica Molitor (Joel), Adam Haskins (Autumn), Michael Haskins (Ashli), Jonathan Haskins and Emily McGuire (Mark) and 19 great grandchildren. A visitation will take place on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church from 10 am until the Funeral Service at 12 noon. Interment will be private for the family. Floral Hills Funeral Home is honored to help serve the family. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church c/o Needle & Thread program.
