Plinnie Deaton

Plinnie Deaton, 81, of Independence, died Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.  She was born August 26, 1941, in Hazard Ky., a daughter of the late Beecher Collins and Octavia Stidham Collins. She was married to Asberry “Shorty” Deaton, who preceded her in death February 23, 2016.  She is survived by her children, Scott Campbell, Glenda Fultz, Julie Deaton, Wanda Bell-Burk and Joan Deaton; 1 brother, 1 sister; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, October 7, 2022, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, where visitation will be held from 11-1 PM, with burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
