Ralph Wayne McKenzie, 74, of Erlanger, affectionately known as Wayne, passed away on May 27, 2025, at The Village at Erlanger. He was born on May 8, 1951, in Covington, Kentucky, and dedicated much of his life to serving his community as a proud police officer for the Kenton County Police.
Wayne was also a distinguished Navy veteran, having served his country with honor. His commitment to public service, both in law enforcement and military service, exemplified his dedication and strong sense of duty. His life's work has left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known him.
In his personal life, Wayne is survived by his loving daughters, Sarah Culp (Robert) and Erin Koshover (William). He is also remembered by his sister, Vickie Anderson as well as his long time companion Megan Michael. Wayne took immense pride in his role as a grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Noah and Ryder Koshover.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Ralph McKenzie and Mary Eileen Hensley McKenzie and brother in law Tom Anderson.
Family, friends, and all whose lives Wayne touched are invited to gather to celebrate his life. Visitation will be held Monday, June 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service that will take place from 6:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
Wayne McKenzie’s legacy of bravery, service, and love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
