Richard F. East, 82, of Ryland Heights, born on July 23, 1942, passed away peacefully at his home in Ryland Heights on February 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was a dependable husband, father, and grandfather whose warmth and humor touched the lives of many.

An avid computer enthusiast, Richard embraced technology with a passion that allowed him to assist others with their computer problems. His keen intellect and patient demeanor made him a go-to resource for friends and family alike. In addition to his technical skills, Richard was known for his infectious sense of humor; he loved telling jokes that brightened the day of those he encountered.

Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanne East, and their cherished children: son Jon Omiatek (Karen) and daughters Susan Arney (Bill) and Barbara Walker (Drew). He is also survived by his brother Ron Bajcsi and sisters Renee Albright (Terry) and RuthAnn Frase, who will miss him dearly. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Megan, Kendall, Vincent, Brynn, and Violet, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, A. Frank Bajcsi and Helen Thompson Bajcsi, who instilled in him the values that he carried throughout his life.

His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but the love and laughter he shared will be forever remembered. Richard F. East will be deeply missed but always celebrated for the life he led and the joy he brought to others. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Action Ministries, Latonia.
