Richard Joseph Hettel, Jr.

Richard Joseph Hettel, Jr., 81, of Newport, died Monday, August 18, 2025, at Woodcrest Nursing Home. He was born February 16, 1944, in Dayton, Kentucky, the son of the late Richard Hettel and Margaret Hensman Hettel. He was a former Meat Manager. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hettel. Surviving are his sons, Brian Stacks (Judi); Dale Stacks; Larry Stacks and ten grandchildren and three great -grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ricarda Hettel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6 PM Monday, September 8, 2025, at Christian Tabernacle Church in Newport. Arrangements are under the direction of Floral Hills Funeral Home.
