Richard Dean Vaughn

Richard Dean Vaughn, 64, of Independence, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood.  He was born March 16, 1961, in Troy, Missouri, the son of Glenn Vaughn and the late Mary Ann Gish Vaughn.  He is survived by his wife, Wanda Riley Vaughn, whom he married September 20, 1985.  Also surviving are his sons, Ricky Vaughn (Chelsea); Ryan Vaughn ( Sam Sutton); Robert Thomas Vaughn (Carly); two brothers, Josh Vaughn (Jess); Justin Vaughn (Cheryl); three sisters, Lisa Huston (Red); Lori Moritz (Bill); and Linda Vaughn; and six grandchildren: Kennedy, Brady, Liam, Riley, Quinn and Raiden.  Services will be held 1PM Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, with Pastor Randy Wallace officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday from 11-1 PM.
