Robert Bauer, 82, of Taylor Mill, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, with his family by his side.  He was born October 12, 1943, in Moscow, Ohio, to the late Lester William Bauer and Caroline May Bauer.   He was a retired Control Operator with Duke Energy and was a proud Army Veteran.  He was married July 1, 1997, to Darlene Bush Bauer, who survives.  He loved golfing, bowling, basketball, softball and was an avid UK fan.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Carol Whitley; Elizabeth Riley (Angela); Nicole Richards (Adam); Travis Boyd and David Boyd (Amber); one sister, Joyce Gibson (Robert); nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Bauer, Jr.  Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 11-1 PM.  Interment with military graveside rites at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Floral Hills is honored to serve the Bauer family.
