Robert “Bob” Earl Lewis passed away on September 18, 2026 after his third battle with cancer. A loving husband, devoted father, cherished Pawpaw, and friend to many, he leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories.
Robert leaves behind his beloved wife, Cheryl Fields Lewis, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and memories that will be treasured forever.
He was a loving father to Diane Cook, Kimberly (Darrel) Back, Rodney (Nicole) Hoffman, Faeryn (Tim) Riggs, and James (Emily) Hoffman. He was also a proud Pawpaw to 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who brought immense love and joy to his life and his sister, Peggy (James) Ernest, and sister-in-laws Renita “Kay” Clowers, Jayne Lewis, and Rosemary Fields. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen Lewis, his son, Robert C. Hoffman, and his brother, Edward Lewis.
Robert was a kind, loving, fun, man of faith who believed in the importance of hard work, family, and knowing Jesus. By trade he was a butcher for Avrils Meat Market for 33 years.
Though Robert’s passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of those who loved him, his legacy will never fade. The family will have a graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 11 AM. Everyone is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates your kind donations to the American Cancer Society.
