Ruth Ann Cahill

Ruth Ann Cahill (nee Hiles), 74, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at her home at StoryPoint Senior Living.

Ruthie was born on October 22, 1951 in Maysville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents John Morgan Hiles Jr. and Vivian Florine (Teegarden) Hiles, brother James A. Hiles and her late husband, Kevin Duane Cahill.

She was an accounting clerk at Proctor and Gamble for 25 years and later worked at the Bracken County Circuit Clerks Office.

Ruthie found joy in relationships with family, friends and their pets; she never knew a stranger, even from the animal world! During her marriage to Kevin, they traveled to see waterfalls and mountains, particularly along the Blue Ridge Parkway in West Virginia. Ireland was a special destination for both of them, as that is the heritage of the Cahill family. Ruthie's faith guided her life and her spirit.

Ruthie is survived by her Aunt Carolyn Baker, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and her extensive list of friends.

A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on January 23, 2026 at 1:00pm.
