Ruth Arlene Marksberry

Ruth Arlene Marksberry, age 87, of Hebron, Kentucky, passed away peacefully
on July 11, 2026.

Born on May 22, 1939, in Bimble, Kentucky, Ruth was the daughter of the late
Hubert and Lucy Hopkins. She worked many years doing various jobs, the last of
which was as a caterer with Davis Catering.

Ruth was a devoted member of Immanuel United Church of Christ of Bromley for
40 years. She found great joy in quilting, line dancing, cooking for those she
loved, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an active
member of a Euchre Club and treasured the friendships she made throughout her
life.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Marksberry (Debbie Marksberry) and Steve
Marksberry (Kathleen Pogue); her sister, Juanita Browder; her grandchildren,
Jennifer, Leila, and Casey; Andrew (Natasha); great grandchildren Jay, Eva, Dylan
and Daisy, Lincoln, Remington, Landon as well as many beloved nieces,
nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband,
Robert Marksberry Jr., her sister, Lois Carmack, and her brother, Johnny Bill
Hopkins.

Ruth will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the love she
shared with everyone around her. Her kindness, faith, and dedication to her
family will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will
follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Immanuel United
Church of Christ in honor of Ruth Marksberry at 110 Boone St, Bromley, KY 41016
