Shannon Ashley Reckers

Shannon Ashley Reckers, 40, of Stonington, Illinois, passed away on April 1, 2026. She was born on September 24, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Shannon was preceded in death by her son, James Elswick III; and her grandparents, Mary Reckers, George Reckers, Betty Storer, and Janovua Chenault.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Joshua Reckers, Arianna Reckers, Damian Elswick, and Kiley Elswick; her parents, Michael (Anita) Reckers and Terri Reckers; her siblings, Gina (Troy) Gearhart, Jonathon Mealor, Jacob (Ashley) Mealor, Sarah Reckers (Alex Hill), and Elizabeth (Michael) Basten; as well as an unborn grandchild, Suede Reckers.

Shannon will be remembered for her love of family and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Point Pleasant Church of Christ in Hebron, Kentucky.
