Sheila Diane Genereux

Sheila Diane Genereux, 73, of Covington, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1952, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, George Austin Kuntz and Norma Jean (Baxter) Kuntz; her husband, Jerry Michael Kenneth Genereux; her granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Sawyer; and her great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Faye Spencer.

She is survived by her children: Michelle Genereux, Penny Streine, Serena Nolan, and Christina Sawyer; her sons-in-law: David Nolan and Brian Sawyer; her siblings: Carol Wirth, George Kuntz Jr., Donna Rekers, Angela Dye, Deborah Perkins, Rhonda Mardis, and Tina Carmony; along with her 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also held a special place in her heart for the many foster grandchildren who came into the family through two of her daughters’ foster care journeys—children who lovingly called her “Grandma” and were welcomed by her with open arms.

Sheila lived a life centered around family, simple joys, and meaningful moments. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers and plants with care. Some of her fondest memories were playing cards with her parents and siblings, where laughter and connection filled the room. She especially treasured swimming with her grandchildren, creating fun and loving memories that they will carry with them always.

Memorial Services will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A.
