Sylvia Ann Sandlin

Sylvia Ann Sandlin, 92, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. She was a deeply faithful and selfless woman whose caring heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Sylvia cherished spending time with her family, working crossword puzzles, and caring for the many pets in her home. She also treasured her lifelong friendships with Sandra, Lou, and Jennie Lou.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Reed (Homer Owen); grandchildren Keli Alexander, Joshua Cordell (Savannah), Danielle Costello (Joey), Jennifer Johansing (Joshua), and Michael Sandlin (Jade); and her great-grandchildren Cody, Chelsea, Gracie, Levi, Joey, Daniel, Emery, Josephine, Arielle, Addie, Anna, Tyler, Callie, and Germaine. She is also survived by her brother, Alfred Meadors (Sue).

Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved sons, David and John Sandlin; her parents, A.C. and Clara Meadors; and her sister, Sally Mitchell.

There will be a Visitation at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 4:00 p.m.
