Thelma Rue McClanahan

Thelma Rue McClanahan was born November 9, 1935 and passed Friday, October 10, 2025 as the day began to break.  Thelma was a wife, mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother.  Before that she was a daughter, a sister and a friend.  Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Barbara Ellen Kidd; all of her siblings, David Kidd, Helen Hail, Charles Kidd, Jr and Hazel Cox as well as her husband, Edgar McClanahan, Sr; her daugher Connie Winterman and great-granddaughter, Esme Winterman.  Thelma leaves behind children, Barbara, Edgar and Veronica; grandchildren Sarah, Charles, Andrew, Faith, Savannah, Edgar III and Mallory and great-grandchildren Laniah, Hayden, Claude, Annabelle and Vincent.  Though we all mourn her passing, Thelma lived a long life, filled with family, friends and so much love.

Graveside services will be conducted 1 PM Monday, October 13, 2025, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  After the burial, there will be a reception in the Floral Hills Reception Center.
