Theresa Jane "Terry" Morris, 78, of Independence, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 28, 2026, at her home, with her family by her bedside.  She was born April 25, 1948, in Covington, the daughter of the late Harlan and Gladys Hughes Morris.  She was a member of Community Family Church, and she loved gospel music, studying the Bible, and loved cooking and decorating.  She is survived by her children, Charlene Hall; Robert Morris; Shane Morris; Christina Tisdale (George); Amanda Roberts; three sisters, Cheryl Huebner (Mike);Barbara Herzog (Dennis); Linda Fuller; one step brother, Ron Martin; her sisters in law; Anita Morris and Pam Morris; stepfather Ronald Martin; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by brothers, Philip Morris and Jerry Morris.  Funeral services will be held 12 PM Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Community Family Church, with Tommy Bates officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10-12 PM at the church.  Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Floral Hills is honored to serve the Morris family.
