Troy Donald Knox, born on May 6, 1985, in Fort Thomas, Ky , left this world on June 2, 2025. As a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Troy's life was characterized by a deep affection for his family and a commitment to his community, particularly during his time working at BWW's where he became a cherished presence among his coworkers and patrons alike.
Troy's dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed; he was recognized multiple times as "Employee of the Month," highlighting his willingness to always go the extra mile. His colleagues often remarked on his big heart and infectious smile, which made him everyone's best friend. Troy was not just an employee; he was a beacon of positivity and joy, creating lasting memories for those around him.
Beyond his professional achievements, Troy was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Bengals. His enthusiasm extended into various interests; he had an enduring love for music and took pride in his collections of shoes, clothes, and hats. He loved to go fishing as well with family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor and being one of the funniest people and always having a joke to make people laugh and love him even more.
Family held a significant place in Troy's heart. He had a profound love for his grandmother, as well as his nephew Nathan Schuster, and his nieces Natalie Knox, Johslynn Knox, and Galee Richards. The bonds he shared with his family were strong, and his compassion for them was evident in everything he did.
Troy is survived by his mother, Kimberly Knox, and his siblings: Josh Knox (Destiny), Cara Garcia (TJ), Chad Nickell, Tracy Nickell, Lisa Smith, Tammy Camerer, Shelly Leopold, Brian Nickell, Roy Nickell and his daughter Lacie Whiles. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Nickell, and brothers Dwight Nickell, Chuck Nickell, and Tommy Nickell.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. This occasion will serve not only to honor Troy's memory but also to bring together all those whose lives he touched.
Troy Donald Knox will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the love he poured into every relationship. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
The family would love for everyone who comes to celebrate the life of Troy to wear Bengals attire to acknowledge his love for the team and sport.
